聖經讓我們知道， 即使大衛當上了以色列的皇帝， 他的心境依舊是那位純樸謙卑的小男孩， 始終如一，對神持守那份起初的愛。 其中一個例子， 是以色列舉國迎接約櫃歸回時， 大衛在全國人民面前成為榜樣， 表達我們對神該有的尊重。 他不顧身份，當眾極力跳舞讚美神， 毫無保留地表現出他對神的愛。 雖然，大衛的妻子米甲並不認同， 甚至心裡輕視他， 但大衛並不介意別人的看法， 他只在乎討神的喜悅， 以一顆真誠敬拜者的心， 將榮耀全然歸予神。 在神面前，他不是堂堂的一國之君， 他只是那位被永生神寵愛的小男孩， 歡欣雀躍地來到神跟前。 讓我們也效法大衛的單純， 在神面前踴躍讚美， 因神是配得的！
